What is The Book Nest?

The Book Nest is a children’s book-swap subscription. You receive a curated bundle of gently-loved books, enjoy them at home, then swap them for fresh stories whenever you’re ready—no buying new books every month.

Who is The Book Nest for?

Families with kids ages 0–12, especially those who want more reading in their home without the clutter or cost of constantly buying books.

How do I Join?

Right now we’re in our early “nest-building” phase. Join the waitlist, and you’ll be the first to know when memberships open — plus get access to special early-bird perks.

How many swaps can we make each month?

Swaps are unlimited. When you’re ready for new stories, send your bundle back and we’ll ship your next one.

What’s the difference between the tiers?

The tiers simply determine how many books you receive at a time.
You choose 4, 6, or 8 books per bundle — and you can swap as often as you want.

Can I choose the exact books?

Not exact titles, but you will tell us your child’s age, reading level, and interests. We hand-curate each bundle so it feels just right for your reader.

Are the books new or used?

Most are gently-loved books given a second life. We clean, inspect, and quality-check every title before adding it to a bundle.

What kinds of books will we get?

A mix of board books, picture books, early readers, and chapter books depending on your child’s age group and preferences.

What if a book gets damaged?

Normal wear from reading is totally fine — that's what books are for! If a book is significantly damaged or lost, we'll work with you to find a fair solution. No stress!

How do we return our bundle?

Every shipment includes a prepaid return label. Pack the books, stick on the label, and drop the package at any approved location. Once it’s scanned, your next swap opens.

What if my child wants to keep a book?

We get it—some stories become part of the family.
Members will be able to keep books for a small fee instead of returning them. More details will be shared before launch.

What happens after I join the waitlist?

You’ll get updates as we prepare to launch, plus early access to membership spots and special founding perks.

How much will it cost?

Pricing will be announced when memberships open. Waitlist members will receive early-bird rates and priority enrollment.

Can I donate books to The Book Nest?
